


Peter Brumis, Vice President of Business Operations, broke into green business working in renewable energy and clean technology. He brings experience in marketing, advertising, hospitality management, education and ecotourism, earning an International MBA from the Monterey Institute of International Studies (focus on ecotourism in Latin America) and a BS in Business Administration from the University of New Hampshire and Boston College. Mr. Brumis hails from New Hampshire and has lived, worked and studied in Boston, London, Hawaii, Lake Tahoe, Monterey and the San Francisco Bay Area. He is a proud father and an active outdoorsman and member of several non-profit organizations, including Surfrider, NorCal Solar and the US Green Building Council. He writes a monthly magazine article and blog dedicated to public education of sustainability issues.
Ian MacBean, Vice President of Operations, was born in Philadelphia, PA, and moved to California after completing an undergraduate education at Connecticut College in 1999. A lifelong passion for travel, including professional experience in Thailand and Costa Rica, led him to pursue a Master’s degree in International Business Administration with a focus on sustainable business practices and strategies. His work experience includes writing for Meso America, an English-language newspaper based in San Pedro, Costa Rica, sustainability consulting for the Clinica de Salud de Valle de Salinas, California, extensive history in patient safety technology, and professional memberships with NetImpact. Ian's lifelong goals include seeing more than 100 countries on all seven continents and helping catalyze globally responsible business practices.
Elan Mevasse, Vice President of Finance, is a native of California. He received a bachelor of arts from UCLA and an International MBA from the Monterey Institute of International Studies. An avid traveler who has learned to connect with people from different backgrounds and believe systems, Elan has a strong belief in social and economic justice, believing that business and policy are an excellent combination to improve the lives of human beings around the globe. He is a mentor for Upwardly Global, a not-for-profit organization that helps new immigrants find employment in the United States, and a leader in the National Black MBA Association. Elan has extensive corporate marketing experience with Safeway, Wells Fargo and marketing research powerhouse IRI.
